The customer had a large area in their garden that was un-useable as it was normally water logged and grass would not grow on it. The reason for this was that the clay was not letting the water through.
The first stage was to remove the top layer of clay.
We then ran a herring bone land drainage system through the worst part of the garden. This was channelled into a soak away that took the water below the clay into chalk.
We then spread and levelled a four inch layer of top soil over the clay.
The final stage was to turf the area. The turf was supplied by Winchester Turf.
